YEAR 2

Grade Two, 2018

Saying goodbye is never easy and in this last school week for 2018, it will mean a lot of things to many of us as some families move on. So far so good, there’s no tears and this part of the year is never easy so here goes!

Sahar Quwat, we will miss you as we have spent some great times together in the past two years. As you and your family are moving to Melbourne, we say to you, Latifa, Madison and Tahira, “Take Care, Polar Bears!” It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with you all. We will miss you lots! Best of luck as you find a new school and new friends. Keep in contact if you can and we will cherish our memories and good times with your family.

As the school and the many personalities involved here, take a break for the summer holidays, we wish you all peace and happiness with those dear to you. Whatever you choose to do and where ever you go, farewell to those who can stay in our hearts but not in our life. Will miss you all and look forward to our next “Hello!”

Grade Twos have written a few reflections of their year and we would like to share some of these with you.

“I love it when we had a class party and we got food and it was good. Thank you, Mr. Anselmi. I love it when we do Spelling tests because I get good results as I always learn my spelling words.” Ali Ajay.

“School is about to finish. I like playing with my friends. When I am going to leave, I am going to miss my friends. The best subjects are P.E., ICT and Maths.” Hamzah Ahmad.

“In July, we had lots of fun because we played Tiggy Tiger. In November, we went to different types of places. We went to Echuca and we did lots of fun things with science.” Mohamad Chkhaydem.

“2018 year is ending! This year is the funniest year of my life because everyone was kind. Sometimes it was bad and sometimes it was funny because my friends make me laugh.” Humza Rafiee.

“At school, I like Brodie because he teaches us sports. I like Ms. Height because she lets us go on the computers. I like Mrs. Moran because she makes us laugh.” Rajbir

“This year, I liked it when I went to Aquamoves because I got on the waterslide. When you get up the top, the water flows very fast. I liked it when I went to the concert. My concert was about being sun smart.” Zainab Syeda.

“This year, I liked the swimming pool when we went to Aquamoves in February or March. It was fun. The second thing I liked was the concert day. When I saw everyone, I was happy because my friends were there, and I enjoyed doing the concert. We got the awards and we did our own class dance, the Pakistan and Arabic dances.” Sahar Quwat.

“At the Eid Festival, we had a party. There was a bouncy house. We have one week, and we will go to the movies. This year we went to the gymnastics.” Ali Ablayati.

“School is about to finish. I enjoyed taking care of the big bugs and then feeding them to the ants. I also enjoyed finding tarantulas. My favourite subjects are Art, P.E. and I.C.T.” Faizan Hussain.

“This year in 2018, in term 4, I went to the shops, played and I went to the Awards Night. There was so much dancing. I had to dance twice, it was so much fun. I liked the grade 4’s dance because it is the song that plays for our school bell. I even liked the grade 3’s, it looked like so much fun.” Zaynab Alasadi.

“We went to Twisted Science in Echuca. This is a place in Australia. First, we had our snack. We explored the place and there was sand that turns orange, pink and purple. It was cool!” Awwaab Shaikh.

“I liked the school concert. We did a sun smart dance, it was fun. We sat without our families and we ate nuggets, had a drink of pepsi and an ice-cream cake. When we got home, my big brother was sleeping.” Abdelrahman Altalafha

“I like to play with Sahar in the playground. The game we like to play together is called “Shark Tiggy.” We have to tag their feet.” Aliye Alshafani.

Take care everyone and thanks to all who have done their best to make 2018 a wonderful year.
